This run still involves plenty of skips, but obviously cuts out a few of the death skips and glitches that faster runs like LilAggy’s make use of. YouTuber Niko Bellic - named after Grand Theft Auto 4’s protagonist - uploaded a deathless run of the game that clocks in at about two and a half hours. There truly isn’t much to say other than execution of this strategy allows. The strategy to complete Green Hill Zone 3 is simply frame-perfect inputs mixed with immense skill. From a casual perspective, performing a glitch that allows you to skip part of the game makes it easier, because then you dont have to play that part of the game. He quickly runs past most of the game’s opening and gets himself ported all the way to one of the Elden Ring’s Volcano Manor, near Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy, one of last few demigods. ![]() Beating the game in less than an hour requires quite a few glitches, bugs, and teleports, which LilAggy makes great use of. Perhaps one day something truly crazy like a sub-10 minute run will be possible.The Soulborne games have always had a vibrant speedrunning community, so it’s no surprise that Elden Ring already has some impressive times. It’s possible that another huge exploit will be discovered that allows players to skip the whole game. Some speedrunning communities discover game changing bugs several years after a game’s launch. The scariest part of this achievement is that there are likely many more glitches to be found. Combine that with the incredible mechanical skill on display, and you end up with a run like this. By performing certain actions, you are able to skip ahead and avoid the mass majority of otherwise necessary content. More specifically, it’s the presence of a sequence break in Elden Ring that speedrunners are taking advantage of. And it’s these game-breaking glitches that have led to this run. ![]() Regardless of how game breaking a bug or exploit is, you can use it to finish the game faster. It was an Any% run, which basically means that anything goes. This run was posted by LilAggy, a prolific speedrunner in the Souls community. The impatience of speedrunners has led to the incredible feat of beating Elden Ring in under an hour. However, the speedrunning community doesn’t have that kind of time. It is an extremely expansive game that can easily take over 40 hours just to finish the story alone. Elden Ring launched almost two weeks ago, and most people are still finding new things to do.
